The Glasgow vs Poplar girls challenge game to go to State will be held Monday the 9th at 6pm in Wolf Point. This will be a RED OUT game. Everyone show up in RED!

The Circle vs Scobey boys challenge game from the Eastern C Divisional will follow at 7:30.

The Glasgow Ice Dawgs High School Hockey team is playing for another State Championship in Miles City on Sunday as they match up with Missoula.

The Ice Dawgs are unbeaten with one tie at the State Tourney after a 8-1 cross-over win over Bozeman on Saturday evening.

On Saturday night, the Ice Dawgs had goals from Tavin Boland (2), Charlie Cornwell, Brody Hansen, Jack Miller (2), Tay Morehouse and Ian Anderson.

Jacob Potter stopped 31 shots on goal while allowing just one score,

Glasgow and Missoula faced off against each other on Friday during pool play and the result was a 1-1 tie.

The championship game gets underway at 11:15 Sunday in Miles City.

The Eastern C Divisional Basketball Tourney begins on Wednesday in Miles City. Kltz will have coverage of all Lustre, North Country and Scobey games from the tourney.

The Northern B Boys Divisional Boys Basketball Tournament starts Thursday in Shelby. 2 teams will advance to the State Tourney in Bozeman next weekend.

The Scottie Girls Basketball Team will compete this week in the Northern B Divisional Basketball Tournament in Shelby. Two teams will advance to the State Tourney in Bozeman next week.

The Glasgow Wrestling Club had a busy weekend as we head into the final month of the season. On Friday, many of the club's 5th thru 8th graders attended the Havre Middle School Invitational, on Saturday we were at the "Battle in the Badlands" in Glendive, and on Sunday we closed it out at the "Pre-Pony Rumble" in Havre.

Glendive featured 445 wrestlers this year from 18 different youth clubs throughout Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota. GWC had the 5th largest team in attendance with 35 wrestlers participating for the day. The team finished in 4th place overall with 502 Team Points, TEN Individual Champions, and Twenty Nine top-4 finishers! The Highlanders led ALL large teams in attendance with a winning percentage of 62%. 57 of the teams wins on the day came by Pin or Technical Fall.

The Pre-Pony Rumble in Havre was a smaller Northeast Division event that featured 302 wrestlers from 16 different clubs. The Highlanders brought a solid group of 32 grapplers; which was the 4th largest team competing in the tournament. The home squad wrapped up the day on the mats with SEVEN Individual Champions and Twenty Eight top-6 place winners! GWC wound up winning 53% of contested matches and 40 out of 56 victories came by either Pin or Technical Fall.

More competitions will be jam-packed into next weekend. The Montana Middle School State Championships will be held in Lewistown. The Girls will be on Friday and the Boys on Saturday. The prestigious Butte Cyclops tournament will be held at the Butte Civic Center on Saturday and Sunday. Poplar will play host to their own Northeast Division tournament this coming Saturday while the "Big Spring Brawl" will also be held on Sunday in Lewistown.

The Glasgow Ice Dawgs high school team finished their regular season this past weekend in Helena.

With 2 wins over the Helena Bighorns, Glasgow catapulted themselves from the 6th seed to the 3rd seed to end the regular season.

Friday night Glasgow won the first game with a score of 7-1.

Right after the puck was dropped Tavin Boland skated the puck down to score a quick goal with only 11 ticks off the clock, setting the tone for the rest of the weekend. A little over a minute later, Glasgow’s Jack Miller was serving a 2 minute minor for cross checking. While Miller was in the penalty box, Brody Hansen assisted by Charlie Cornwell scored the game winning goal with only 14:40 showing on the scoreboard.

After the period started off hot, it was a while before some more excitement took place. With 3:54 showing on the clock, Hansen scored another assisted by Cornwell and Ellery DeDobbeleer. Shortly after that, Helena was serving a 10 & 2 penalty for charging. 1 minute and 18 seconds later, Helena had another one in the penalty box leaving only 3 skaters on the ice against Glasgow’s 5. On a powerplay with only 4 seconds left in the first period, Ellery DeDobbeleer with the assist from Ian Anderson scored her first goal of the season to end the first period with a score of 4-0 with Glasgow on top. The 2nd period proved to be the quietest out of the 3. Only two goals were scored by either team and that was by Glasgow’s Charlie Cornwell. His first goal with 7 minutes and 21 seconds left of the game was assisted by Hansen. One minute and 24 seconds later Charlie scored again assisted by Eli Howland. There were 3 penalties served in the 2nd period; 1 by Helena and 2 by Glasgow’s Tay Morehouse and Miller. The 3rd period was the busiest one with 8 penalties served and 2 goals scored. Helena scored their only goal by D. Hicks. Tavin Boland scored his second one of the game assisted by Cornwell and Orion Henry. Glasgow served 6 of the 8 penalties by O. Henry, Dulaney, Boland, Howland, and Boland.

Jacob Potter was in the net for Glasgow and saw 25 shots saving 24, giving him a .96 save percentage. Glasgow had 55 shots on the Bighorns goalie.

Saturday morning’s game was another exciting one. Glasgow with another win over the Bighorns, 9-3. The first and second periods were the busy ones. The defense took control and Hansen started the scoring for Glasgow, Jaxson Kemp with the assist. A couple minutes later Boland found himself in the penalty box serving 2 minutes for roughing. While the Ice Dawgs were short handed, Cornwell unassisted found the back of the net. Towards the end of the 1st period Helena was serving their first 2 penalties. During the powerplay with 1:12 showing on the clock, Hansen scored again assisted by Boland. 9 seconds before the end of the 1st, Hansen with a hat trick, scored the game winning goal on a powerplay. The 2nd period was even busier than the 1st. The Bighorns scored their first of two goals of the period. Following Helena, Boland assisted by Howland scored his first for the game. Only 20 seconds later Tay Morehouse found the back of the net assisted by Anderson. Helena answered back on a powerplay. Cornwell assisted by Hansen and Hansen assisted by Morehouse finished the scoring for the 2nd period. Glasgow served 3 penalties by Miller, Boland, and Hansen. Helena only served 1 for the period. The 3rd period became a defensive one. Only 2 goals were scored. The first was Helena’s and the other was Glasgow’s Boland assisted by Hansen. The penalty boxes were quiet and empty with no penalties given.

Glasgow’s Potter saw 30 shots and saved 27, giving him a .90 save percentage for the game.
Glasgow had 47 shots on Helena’s goalie.

The Plentywood Wildcats just narrowly slipped past Glasgow, by a score of 58-55 in a hard fought, Loser-Out game at the District 2B Tournament in Malta on Saturday afternoon. This game was close throughout, with multiple lead changes.

After a close first quarter, Glasgow was able to open up a 7-point halftime lead, and would extend that lead to 9 in the third quarter, before some hot shooting from Plentywood would close the gap, and tie the score at 41 at the end of three quarters of play. Glasgow would take the lead for the final time, on a mid-range jumper from Sophomore Cash Stulc with 2:00 to play. After some clutch free throws by Flickinger, to give Plentywood a 6 point lead; Cade Hudyma would cut it to 3, with a three-point play with just 16 seconds left. Plentywood would then increase their lead to 5, but Wyatt Sugg would cut the lead to just 2, on a 3-point basket with 5.8 seconds left. That's as close as Glasgow would get, as Plentywood would walk away with the 58-55 victory.

Glasgow had three players score in double figures, led by Cade Hudyma, who scored 16 points in the contest. Grady Nielsen added 13, and Colt Hudyma chipped in 10 for Glasgow. The trio of Landon Flickinger, Henry Kukowski, and Andy Kaul teamed up for 51 of Plentywood's 58 points. Flickinger had a game high 21 points, Kukowski added 16, and Kaul scored 14 for the Wildcats. Flickinger was a perfect 8 for 8 from the free throw line, and the Wildcats as a team finished 13-14 from the charity stripe.

With the loss, Glasgow will see their season come to a close. The Scotties finished the season with a 10-11 record. With the win, Plentywood will move on to the Consolation Game at 4:30 PM this afternoon. They will play the winner of the Poplar vs. Wolf Point loser-out game. The Wildcats also qualify for the Northern B Divisional Tournament in Shelby, next weekend.

The Malta M' ettes defeated the Glasgow Scotties 46-41, in a tough, hard-fought Girls District 2B Championship Game. Malta pulled out ahead by a score of 22-14 in the second quarter, but Glasgow would battle back to take a two-point halftime lead. Glasgow would then gain a 6-point lead late in the third quarter, but the M' ettes would rally off 12 straight points to take a 42-36 lead. Glasgow would pull within one point on a 3 point basket by Joely Chappell with 30 seconds left in the game, to make the score 42-41. However Malta would hang on to win 46-41, and claim the District 2B Championship Trophy.

Glasgow was led in scoring by Mayzie Yoakam, who scored a game high 21 points, including 5 three pointers in the contest. Joely Chappell added 10 for the Scotties, while Emma Mandeville added 8. Malta was led by Denvyr Tuss and Neva Jacobson who had 12 apiece for Malta. Tuss also finished with 18 rebounds, unofficially. Kylie Bishop added 8 for the M' ettes, while Kendall Clausen and Tailynn Wilke each had 7 in the winning effort.

With the win, Malta improves their record to 17-4 on the season, and will earn the #1 seed, entering the Northern B Divisional Tournament in Shelby next weekend. The M' ettes will play Rocky Boy, who finished 4th in the District 1B tournament. Glasgow finishes in second place at the tournament, and will see their record fall to 19-1 on the season. Both the Scottie Girls and Boys Basketball teams picked up wins at the District 2-B Tournament on Friday.

The Scottie Boys stayed alive with a 70-44 win over Fairview to improve their record to 10-10. Glasgow will play at noon Saturday and take on the loser of the semi-final game tonight between Malta and Plentywood.

The Scottie Girls improved to 19-0 with a convincing 51-38 win over Fairview in the semi-finals. Glasgow will play at 6:30pm Saturday in the championship game taking on the winner of Malta vs Poplar game.

The Wolf Point Wolves raced out to a fast start, jumping out to a 10-point first quarter lead, and would extend that lead to 15 by halftime on their way to a 65-51 victory over Glasgow in the first round of the 2B District Tournament in Malta on Thursday night. Wolf Point would then withstand a Glasgow comeback attempt, as the Scotties pulled to within 6 points, midway through the fourth period, after a couple three pointers by Wyatt Sugg, and a dunk by Colt Hudyma would spark the Glasgow rally. The Wolves would eventually pull away once again, to claim the 65-51 victory.

Glasgow had 3 players score in double figures led by Colt Hudyma, who finished with 12. Grady Nielsen scored 11 points, while Cade Hudyma added 10. Wyatt Sugg also chipped in 9 for the Scotties, with all of those points coming in the fourth quarter. Wolf point was led by Zandon Calder, who finished with 17 points. Richard Campbell scored 15, and Sean Hamilton finished with 14 points for the Wolves.

With the win, the Wolves improve their record to 7-12 on the season. The Wolves will move on to the Semifinal round of the District 2B tournament in Malta. They will play the winner of #2 seeded Harlem vs. #7 seeded Fairview at 8:00 PM on Friday night. With the loss Glasgow falls to 9-10 on the season. Glasgow will face the loser of #2 seeded Harlem vs. #7 seeded Fairview at 1:30 PM on Friday afternoon, in a loser out game.

The 12U Ice Dawgs traveled to Bozeman last weekend for the State Tournament with one mindset: anything can happen at State. Over three days of intense play, they proved exactly that.

The Dawgs opened the tournament Friday afternoon with a strong 6–2 win over Missoula, followed by a 4–1 victory against Havre that evening. Their momentum carried into Saturday, where they delivered a commanding 7–0 shutout against Salmon, Idaho—clinching their spot in the championship bracket.
Saturday night brought a familiar matchup against long time rivals, the Billings Bulls. Regulation ended in a tie, and despite a hard fought overtime effort, the Ice Dawgs fell 4–3. The loss set the stage for a highly anticipated rematch in Sunday’s championship game.

In the title showdown, the Ice Dawgs and Bulls battled through a tight, back and forth contest. The Dawgs pushed relentlessly, but Billings edged out a 5–4 win, placing the Ice Dawgs second in the state.
Despite the narrow finish, the Peewee squad closed out their season with grit, heart, and a “give it your all” attitude that carried them through every shift. With practices already underway and eyes set on next season, the Ice Dawgs are determined to return stronger—and ready for another shot to bring home the Championship Banner.

The Glasgow Ice Dawgs High School team played their last home games over the past weekend. The Ice Dawgs hosted the Bozeman Ice Dogs on Friday, February 20th and Saturday, February 21st. Friday night the 5 Ice Dawg seniors were honored before they took on the Ice Dogs.

Earlier this season in November the Ice Dawgs traveled to Bozeman to play their first games of the season. With a younger Glasgow team and not many practices the Ice Dawgs finished that weekend with 2 losses against the Bozeman Ice Dogs. After 3 months of working hard and playing more games, Glasgow got another chance to take on the Ice Dogs on their home ice. Glasgow came out on top in both games over the weekend proving that they have been working hard and coming together as a team. Game 1 was a 5-2 win and game 2 was a 7-3 win.

Area next-level athletes competed at their respective indoor track and field championships over the past two weeks.

At the GNAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, February 16-17, Mattea McColly (MSU-Billings) finished 10th in the weight throw, throwing 13.66m (44' 9.75").

At the Frontier Conference Championships this weekend, Dickinson State's Kyler Holinde was 5th in the 800m in a personal best of 1:56.74. He also ran a leg on the men's 4x400m relay team that finished third.

Kheyerah Bilger finished 15th in the women's mile, in 6:43.46. Both the Blue Hawk men and women won the meet.

Wolf Point's Sierra Summers, running for MSU-Northern, finished 7th in the women's 5000m in 18:58.53.

The 10U Glasgow Ice Dawgs capped off an unforgettable season by claiming the state championship title and finishing with a flawless 21-0 record — the first undefeated season in Hi-Line Youth Hockey Association history.

The Ice Dawgs showcased their dominance throughout the weekend tournament, earning five consecutive victories to secure the championship.

Glasgow opened play Friday with a strong 4-1 win over Great Falls. On Saturday morning, they shut out Bozeman Black 3-0 before battling to a 6-4 victory against Missoula later that afternoon. A 5-2 win over Helena on Sunday morning advanced the Ice Dawgs to the championship game against Bozeman Red.

In the title matchup, Glasgow wasted no time building momentum, scoring two early goals and adding two more to seal a decisive 4-0 victory and the state crown.

Goaltender Benson Rasmusan anchored the team all weekend, recording two impressive shutouts behind a determined and disciplined defensive team effort.

The Ice Dawgs were led offensively by Kerrick Kalinski, Taelynn Henry and Corban Hystad. Additional scoring contributions came from Alex Potter, Wyatt Tanasse, Caden Murch, Katie Kuhlmann and Maddux Feit.

The team’s discipline also stood out, as the Ice Dawgs committed just three penalties over the entire weekend — tripping calls on Katie Kuhlmann and Louis Guhy, and a roughing penalty on Kjel Bea Markle.

With teamwork, depth and determination, the 10U Ice Dawgs closed out their season in historic fashion — undefeated and state champions.

This past weekend, the Glasgow Ice Dawgs High School team traveled to Billings to play 2 games against the Billings Bulls. After the Bulls forfeited 2 games in January, this ended up being the first games between the two teams this season. Glasgow came out on top with 2 wins!

Saturday afternoon’s win was a shutout for the Senior Goalie Jacob Potter, 5-0! This is Potter’s second shutout of the season! Sunday morning’s game was an early one that started at 7:30am. The Ice Dawgs still came to play and pulled off the win, 2-1 over the Billings Bulls. This gives the Ice Dawgs a record of 8-6 on the season thus far. With only 4 more regular season games left, the Ice Dawgs still have some time to prepare for the state tournament being held in Miles City starting March 6th.

There’s one last chance to catch the HS Ice Dawgs in action at home. They will take on the Bozeman Ice Dogs this upcoming Friday night and Saturday morning. Friday, February 20th will be Senior Night. The senior recognition will start approximately around 6:40pm. The puck will drop at 7pm. Saturday, February 21st the puck will drop at 10am.

The Scobey boys basketball team defeated the North Country Mavericks by a score of 74-27 in a 3C boys basketball game in Hinsdale on Friday night. The Spartans raced off to a 27-14 first quarter lead, and would extend their lead to 29 by halftime. The Spartans would then cruise in the second half, on their way to the 74-27 victory.

Colten Machart led the Spartans with a game high 20 points, while Brekken Maher also hit double figures, chipping in 12 in the winning effort. Laytin Erickson and Jake Brown scored 8 points apiece to lead the charge for the Mavericks.

With the win, Scobey improves their record to 17-0, and are now 9-0 in the 3C conference. North Country drops to 8-8 are now 2-6 in 3C conference play. Scobey will host Circle tomorrow night, while North Country will travel to Nashua.

The Scobey Spartans defeated the North Country Mavericks by a score of 44-42 on a last second shot by freshman Emery Rouse. The Spartans trailed by 8 points at the end of three quarters, but would outscore North Country 13-3 in the final frame, to walk away with a big 3C Conference Victory. Scobey guard Kayla Carney also played a huge role in the fourth quarter comeback, hitting two clutch three pointers; the first shot cut the Lady Mavericks lead to 4, and the second one gave Scobey a 42-41 lead.

Gracie Wasson would tie the score at 42-42 after hitting a free throw with just 1:11 to play, before Rouse hit the game winner with just 2 seconds left on the clock.

North Country was led in scoring by Bailey McColly, who finished with 13 points in the contest. Gracie Wasson added 9, while Ainsley Erickson chipped in 8. Scobey was led in scoring by Chloe Handran who finished with 13 points in the contest. Kayla Carney also finished the game in double figures, scoring 10 points while freshman Emery Rouse added 8, including the game winner for the Spartans.

With the win, Scobey improves their record to 13-4 on the season, and are now 7-2 in conference play. With the loss, North Country drops to 13-4 on the season, and are now also 7-2 in 3C conference play. Scobey will host Circle on Saturday night in Scobey, while North Country will travel to Nashua to take on the Porcupines.

The Scottie Girls Basketball team completed its first ever perfect regular season with a 49-24 win over Fairview on Thursday. Glasgow finishes the regular season 18-0 and a 12-0 mark in the 2-B Conference.

Glasgow was led in scoring by Mayzie Yoakam who finished with 14, Emma Mandeville had 13 and Joely Chappell 12.

The Scotties will be the number one seed going in to the District 2-B Tournament in Malta starting later this month.

The Scottie Boys had an easy time knocking off Fairview picking up a 64-36 win on Thursday. Glasgow was led in scoring by Cade Huydma with 16, Grady Nielsen had 15 and Cash Stulc with 10.

Glasgow finishes with a 9-9 record on the season.

The Scotties will be the number 3 seed going into the District 2-B Tourney in Malta.

Twelve high school coaches from Montana are finalists for the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year awards, per a Monday press release from the organization.

The NHSACA Convention will be held June 29–July 1 in Coralville, Iowa, with the Coach of the Year Awards Banquet scheduled for Wednesday, July 1.

The Scottie Boys swept the season series with the Sidney Eagles on the road Tuesday 59-49. Glasgow fought back from a 10 point deficit after one quarter and outscored Sidney 18-2 in the 3rd quarter.
The Scotties were led in scoring by Colt Hudyma with 18 points while Cash Stulc and Gage Waarvik added 14.
The Scotties now stand with a record of 8-9 heading into the final regular season game with Fairview on Thursday.

The Scottie Girls remained perfect on the season with a 61-53 victory over the Class A Sidney Eagles. Glasgow opened up a close game in the 4th quarter and rolled to their 17th win of the season. The Scotties were led by Mayzie Yoakam with 32 points while Joely Chappell had 13 and Alexa Ball with 11.
Glasgow improves to 17-0 and will look to finish out a perfect regular season with a home game against Fairview on Thursday.

The MonDak Open took place on Saturday at the Well on the campus of WIlliston State. Overall, 669 wrestlers representing 36 different youth clubs were in attendance. It was ran in two separate sessions to help better facilitate the large event.

The Glasgow Wrestling Club entered the fourth most kids in the MonDak with 54 Highlander wrestlers on hand to chase some hardware. TEN Individual Champions were crowned for the local squad while 36 of our wrestlers grabbed a top four finish! Of the top 12 largest teams in attendance, no one ended with a better overall winning percentage than the Glasgow Highlanders. GWC racked up a 97-74 overall record for day; winning at a 57% clip while securing 67 wins by either Pin or Technical Fall.

Next Saturday, the club will be at the Plentywood Border Brawl.

Montana Amateur Hockey Association:

The first Montana State Championship Tournament of the year is officially in the books, and it was a great one for Girls 14U hockey.

Six local girls been traveling and playing with the Flathead Fusion: Keiree Feit, Paislynn Stringer, Kadia Kalinski, Makenna Engstrom, Molly Miller, and Bristol Krauth.

Bozeman IceDogs captured the state title in a thrilling championship game over the Flathead Fusion.

Missoula Bruins earned third place with a consolation win over the Billings Bulls.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches, parents, & volunteers who made this tournament special.

The compete level, sportsmanship, and passion on display throughout the weekend were exactly what Montana hockey is all about.

A huge thank you to the entire Glasgow hockey community for hosting such a terrific and memorable state tournament. From start to finish, it was first-class and a great experience for everyone involved.

Well done, Girls 14U- an outstanding way to kick off state championship season

The Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture held the 28th Annual Ice Fishing Derby February 7, 2026. The Derby was held at the Fishing Access Site - Dredge Cuts Trout Pond located on Highway 117. Temperatures in the mid 50’s made for a great day on the pond. 205 holes were sold with roughly 150 participants. 88 fish were brought to the weighmaster from 12pm -3pm, however, there were many more caught. Participants came from 16 different communities with Piney Flats, Tennessee being the farthest earning $40 in Chamber Big Bucks.

GUARANTEED $2,000 FIRST PLACE was John Plucinski from Forsyth, MT. John caught a 5.34 Northern at 2:04pm. 2nd Place for $1,000 was Cierra Loudon from Nashua, MT with a .50 pound rainbow trout caught at 12:12pm. 3rd Place for $750 was Buddy Jackson from Glasgow, MT with a .48 pound rainbow trout caught at 12:31pm. 4th Place for $400 was Jerret Braaten from Glasgow, MT with a .46 pound rainbow trout caught at 1:24pm. 5th Place for $250 was JR Estes from Glasgow, MT with a .46-pound rainbow trout caught at 1:32pm. 6th Place for $100 was Buddy Jackson from Glasgow, MT with a .44 rainbow trout.

At the Carignan Classic in Bozeman, Next-Level Scottie Iris McKean finished 6th in the women's mile, running 5:09.62.

Dickinson State is competing at the Bison Open in Fargo. Next-Level Scottie Kheyerah Bilger was 25th in the women's 3000m in 12:46.29.

Next-Level Scottie Kyler Holinde is scheduled to run the mile today, as is Bilger. Holinde was part of the 4000m Distance Medley Relay that finished 2nd last night.

The Glasgow Ice Dawgs are thrilled to welcome the Montana 14u Girls State Tournament to the Valley Event Center in Glasgow

Five teams will compete for the title through Sunday. Six local girls been traveling and playing with the Flathead Fusion: Keiree Feit, Paislynn Stringer, Kadia Kalinski, Makenna Engstrom, Molly Miller, and Bristol Krauth.

Everyone is welcome come down to the Valley Event Center to watch the games, check out the raffle baskets, and enjoy the delicious concessions. It’s a state tournament, but admission is still free.

The Glasgow Scotties defeated the Malta M'ettes by a score of 61-58 in a hard fought, overtime, white knuckler of a District 2B girls basketball game in Malta on Friday night. Glasgow started off slow, as the M'ettes came out firing, thanks to the sharp shooting of Neva Jacobson, and took a 15-10 first quarter lead. However the Scottie girls would find their rhythm in the second quarter as Glasgow outpaced the M'ettes by a 15-8 margin in the second quarter. Joelly Chappel had 9 of Glasgow's 15 points in that second quarter. Glasgow would extend their lead out to 5 in the second half, but the M'ettes fought back, sending the game into overtime on a long, 3 point buzzer beater by Neva Jacobson. The overtime period would go back and forth, with Glasgow finally outlasting the M'ettes, after Emma Mandeville sank 2 free throws to ice the game with 0.5 seconds on the clock.

Malta's Neva Jacobson had a tremendous game, pouring in 33 points for the M'ettes. Denvyr Tuss also reached double figures for Malta scoring 12. Haylie Welch added 8 for Malta, while Kyle Bishop chipped in 6.

Glasgow had four players in double figures with Mayzie Yoakam and Emma Mandeville scoring 19 each. Alexa Ball finished with 11 points, while Joelly Chappell finished with 10. Ava Runner chipped in 2 for Glasgow.

With the win, Glasgow stays unbeaten, improving their record to 16-0, and are now 11-0 in conference play, establishing themselves as the first place team in the 2B conference. With the loss, Malta falls to 12-4, and are now 8-2 in conference play.

Glasgow will next be in action on Tuesday, February 10th, as they will travel to Sidney to take on the Class A Eagles. Malta will next be in action on Friday, February 13th, as they will travel to Poplar.

Following a nail-biting Glasgow win in a girls basketball game in Malta on Friday night, the Glasgow wrestlers followed up with a victory of their own, as they defeated the Malta Mustang wrestlers by a final score of 57-20, in a spirited wrestling dual in Malta on Friday night. Madison Lamb, Asher Wersal, Jack Morehouse, John Yeska, Cody Kuka, Oliver Pick, Khye Gamas, and William Kirkland all picked up wins for Glasgow.

One of the highlights of the night was the 157 pound match, where Oliver Pick from Glasgow, secured a pin with just :04 left in the match, saving that match for Glasgow. Pick was behind by double digits in points, but managed to pin his opponent in the closing seconds.

The Glasgow wrestlers will next be in action tomorrow night (Sat. Feb. 7th), as they will host Havre for a Senior night dual. That dual gets underway at 6:00 PM. Malta's next scheduled competition will be at the Eastern B/C Divisionals next weekend Feb. 13th and 14th.

The Glasgow Scotties Boys basketball team fell to the Malta Mustangs by a score of 81-65 in a District 2B boys basketball game in Malta on Friday night. The Mustangs galloped quickly out of the gate as they hit eight, 3 pointers in the first quarter, commanding a 13 point lead. The Scottie would battle back, as they outscored Malta by a score of 20-5 in the second quarter to take a 37-35 lead into the half. However, Malta's hot shooting would return in the second half, and proved to be too much for the Scotties to overcome, as the Mustangs earned the 16 point home victory. Malta finished the game with 19 three pointers. Regan Stuart and Kazner Oxarart each had 6 three point field goals for the Mustangs.

Malta was led in scoring by Regan Stuart who finished with 22 points in the contest, Kazner Oxarart scored 19, while Tant Anderson and Dawson Hammond had 14 apiece in the winning effort. Glasgow was led by Cade Hudyma, who poured in 27 points, while Grady Nielsen added 11. Colt Hudyma and Jackson Abern chipped in 7 apiece for Glasgow.

With the win, Malta improves their record to 15-1 on the season, and are now 10-0 in 2B conference play. With the loss, Glasgow falls to 7-9 on the season and are now 6-5 in conference play. Glasgow will next be in action on Tuesday, February 10th, as they travel to Sidney to take on the Eagles. Malta will travel to Poplar next Friday, February 13th.

The Scottie boys basketball team dropped a tight one in Harlem on Thursday night, 86-79. It was a back-and-forth game, with Harlem racing out to a seven-point lead after one quarter, 21-14. Both teams scored 21 points in the second quarter.

The Scottie then came back strong in the third, taking a two-point lead, after outscoring Harlem 28-19 in the third. But a string of turnovers late in the fourth quarter by the Scotties cost them the game.

The Scottie girls went to 15-0 after a trip to Harlem on Thursday night. The Lady Wildcats kept it close until deep into the second half.

Glasgow led 11-8 after one quarter and built a 30-23 lead at halftime. Harlem cut into the lead again early in the third, before Glasgow found some momentum late in the third.
